North About three miles is the Vermont border. Pick up the famous scenic route 100 for a day tour. Visit Wilmington, home of Mount Snow and over 30 restaurants and many shops. We've even had folks travel to Montreal - about 4 hours away - for a day trip. South We have day passes to Historic Deerfield you may borrow. Spend a day browsing this original settlement in Franklin County, then stop in to Yankee Candle - the scenter of New England - or ride the Norwotock Bike Trail for 18 miles through Connecticut Valley farm land. East About 20 minutes east of here Shelburne Falls is the home of the Bridge of Flowers, glacial potholes, glassblowing, and candle and potterymaking. A High Ledges hike will reveal over 1000 orchids in late May and early June. West Follow the Mohawk Trail west around the hairpin curve to North Adams and Williamstown. Visit Mass MOCA, the Hoosick Tunnel museum, Clark Institute of Art and the Williams College Theater Festival. Other fun things to do include driving to the top of Mount Greylock - the highest mountain in Mass., the Hancock Shaker Village, the Norman Rockwell Museum and the sleepy village of Stockbridge.
