 FALL FOLIAGEFULL VIEW OF FALL FOLIAGE Afternoons are lost in color for us here at Maple House Bed and Breakfast. We take our lunch outside into the splendor, and often never get back to work. What a tapestry is painted for us in the back yard! Our sugar bush of maples, the heritage trees which protect the property, the Mount Adams and Todd ridge, the valley looking out to Mount Greylock – all are alive in glorious color. HIKE OUT the BACK DOOR Excellent hiking starts at the back door. We have Three Favorite Hikes, but we can send you on hikes near streams, around lakes, to waterfalls, to spectacular views, whatever meets your fancy. We’ll even pack lunch. Download the Rowe trail map ROWE TOWN TAG SALE Labor Day Weekend provides an opportunity to pick up a map for a self-guided driving tour of Rowe’s historic homes and sites. Stop to browse 10-12 tag sale and craft tables. You will find unique gifts and might just get all your Christmas shopping done early. HILLTOWN FALL FESTIVALS AND FAIRS Harvest season means fall festivals. Every weekend in September and early October at least one of the hill towns has their fall fair. Sample local cooking, try your hand at pumpkin bowling, see the animals, view local crafts. We’ll draw you the map to get there. |
